What’s FAB at the Fab Lab?
Pioneered by the MIT Centre for Bits and Atoms – A platform for learning and innovation – A place to create, to learn and to invent
The Fab Lab provides widespread access to modern means for invention
Why Digital Fabrication?
Human Creativity, Machine Precision – Design, prototype and build your own products – Join the new generation of designers and makers
Digital Fabrication is a manufacturing process where the machine used is controlled by a computer
3D Printing – Laser Cutting – CNC Machining – Electronics
Product design, arts and crafts, electronics – Robotics, fashion, prototyping – Enterprise and business through STEAM subjects
Explore how this innovative technology can influence your future career
WeCreate TY workshops incorporate the five central teaching and learning skills with specific NCCA curriculum learning outcomes.

“Our transition year trip to the WeCreate Fab Lab was an exceptional educational experience for the students which they really enjoyed and learned many technical skills. The students got the chance to actively engage in various activities such as Laser cutting, 3-D printing, CAD and Electronics. The experienced staff at WeCreate made the day fun and I enjoyed working with them. The trip was a step into the future!”
